We had the opportunity to bring a client of ours dream to fruition in which he desired to bring back to glory and old pond or swimming hole that existed over 50 years ago. The pond is fed by and artesian flow which are common in the area. The original dam was constructed of a concrete wall with no proper base bellow it. Overtime the water undermined the wall and eroded enough material causing the wall to collapse. Years went by and multiple owners of the property ignored or may have not known of it’s existence do to the total takeover of over growth in the ravine. We came in forestry mulched and cleared the area including the ravine. Our pond construction process included placing down a proper pond liner that will not be undermined over time. Once the pond liner was in place we Constructed a dense clay dam backed by slabs of concrete from the original dam then covered bladder with the topsoil left over from the excavation process.
